When a spare install fits
Choose this job when the flat tire is not worth repairing today, or cannot be, and the vehicle carries a spare. The business fits the spare and takes the flat with you or as agreed.
If the spare is missing, flat or the wrong fit, the tire replacement job covers a new or used tire.
Check the spare first
Many vehicles carry a compact spare meant for short, slow use. Look at the label on the spare for its limits. Tell the business what kind of spare you have and where it is stored.
- Is it a full-size wheel or a compact one?
- Is it under the vehicle, in the trunk or on the back?
- Do you have the jack and wheel key, or does the business bring tools?
Paperwork
The same Florida repair rules apply as for any repair. Ask for the written estimate if the work will cost more than $1501, and for the invoice at the end 1. See the rules guide.
Who is responsible
The independent business does the work and sets its price. Curbjack is the booking service and does not repair vehicles.
How it will work
The steps run from the job to the invoice. Bookings are not open yet.
- Choose the job. Flat repair, spare install or tire replacement, at your home or the roadside.
- See the price. The independent business sets it, and it is shown before you book.
- The visit. The business comes to you, does the work and gives you the estimate and invoice Florida requires.
- Pay after the work. Payment is planned for when the work is done.
What Curbjack does not handle
These jobs are outside what Curbjack books. If your vehicle needs one of them, look elsewhere.
- Windshield and other glass work
- Driver-assist (ADAS) calibration
- Insurance-claim repairs
- Frame and body repair
- Electrical and battery work
- Oil changes and fluid service
- Brake repair
- Engine and transmission repair
- Suspension and alignment work

Questions people ask
Can I keep driving on a compact spare?
Follow the limits printed on the spare and in the vehicle manual. The business can tell you what to do next, and a replacement tire is a separate job.
What if I cannot find my spare?
Tell the business when you book. It can quote a tire replacement instead.
